Mortgage Interest Rates
May 26, 2011 30-year mortgage interest rate declined this week, down at 4.6% from 4.61% a week ago, a 1.0 basis point decline. The current rate is still 18.0 basis points lower compared to 4.78% a year ago. Shorter term mortgage rates followed similar trend and also declined. Mortgage interest rates are considered to be one of the key factors influencing real estate demand schedules. |
